Celebrating Our Students of the Month!
At Genie Academy, we believe in recognizing students who embody excellence—not just academically, but in character, attitude, and leadership. This month, we’re incredibly proud to highlight six outstanding students who are shining examples of what it means to be part of our Genie family. Their hard work, positivity, and commitment to growth inspire everyone around them.
Vishnu M. (Plainsboro)
Nominated by Coach Heidi
When I first started working with Vishnu he had a broken arm so he had to relearn how to write with his left hand and struggled to sit still. Now he's helping other students stay focused in class. He comes in and knows what to do, he's focused, excited to learn, and helps others. His handwriting is so much better, his attentiveness is excellent! Every class he comes in ready to learn. His hard work and determination got him from never being able to sit still, write, and focus to going ahead in his work almost every week. Excellent progress!
Iris R.(South Brunswick)
Nominated by Coach Heidi
Iris is one of the most hardworking students! She is constantly asking thoughtful questions and truly is excited to better understand her concepts. Whenever she's confused she knows to skip the question and come back but she always puts an honest effort into every problem she solves. Homework is always done and ready to be checked by the time I come into the classroom. She's incredibly friendly to all and reminds other students to wait if I'm doing something. She follows the rules and never gives up. A great student and engaged learner who's very deserving of Student of the Month!
Upanya H. (East Brunswick)
Nominated by Coach Mark
Upanya is a very hard working and independent student. She is always prepared to learn each class and tries her hardest with higher-level reading concepts. She is very engaged in her education, too, asking questions about how to improve and even for more practice for concepts she's unsure about.
Shriya A. (South Plainfield)
Nominated by Coach Kendall
Shriya has shown great improvement over the last few classes. She has been more focused and consistent with her efforts, both in class and at home—completing homework more regularly, asking thoughtful questions, and putting in noticeable effort. She has also been very cooperative and self-motivated in class. It’s great to see this level of focus and initiative from a student without needing additional prompting.
Siddharth P. (Online)
Nominated by Coach Takuma
Sid demonstrated excellence in understanding 6th grade level math, even as a 3rd grader. He especially impressed me with how he was able to apply previous lessons from fractions into the new lesson of ratios.
Paxton E. (Hillsborough)
Nominated by Coach Evan
Paxton has been putting in a consistent concerted effort into his essay writing and preparation. He enjoys writing in class and at home, and his efforts and attention to detail, if continued, will help propel him into an advance writer and reader.
Mom and I are happy with his progress so far, and continue to push him and give him the tools needed to write and express himself.
A Big Congratulations to All Our Students of the Month!
Thank you for showing us what it means to be focused, kind, and committed. We’re proud of everything you’ve accomplished and excited to watch you continue to grow!
