Celebrating Our Students of the Month!
At Genie Academy, we believe in recognizing students who embody excellence—not just academically, but in character, attitude, and leadership. This month, we’re incredibly proud to highlight seven outstanding students who are shining examples of what it means to be part of our Genie family. Their hard work, positivity, and commitment to growth inspire everyone around them.
Joshini A. (Plainsboro)
Nominated by Coach Paola
Joshini comes to class everyday with a smile on her face. She comes for class later in the afternoon for two straight hours and never loses steam. She is a great helper and role model for those around her, always assisting when she can. She has also jumped from our third grade common core books to the beginning of our fifth grade level in just about a year. Joshini loves to learn and makes it her mission to improve herself and her work every single class.
Samridhi P. (South Brunswick)
Nominated by Coach Destiny
I would like to nominate Samridhi for Student of the Month because she consistently demonstrates outstanding effort, focus, and excellence in the classroom. Samridhi always completes her classwork and homework on time, often going above and beyond expectations by finishing more than what is assigned. She actively participates in class discussions, asks thoughtful questions, and listens carefully to both her teachers and classmates. Samridhi is exceptionally strong in math and has progressed beyond her grade level due to her hard work and ability to learn quickly. She is kind, respectful, and eager to help others, including supporting classmates when given the opportunity. Recently, she built a meaningful connection with a student in our class with an IEP, showing empathy and teamwork. Samridhi is truly one of my favorites- a light in our classroom, a joy to teach, and simply a wonderful, kind-hearted student all around. She embodies all of the qualities we look for in a Student of the Month, and I am proud to recognize her for her efforts and positive example.
Adrian H. (Marlboro)
Nominated by Coach Kira
I have had the privilege of seeing Adrian grow up so much throughout our classes. When we met, he was perhaps the most serious first grader I’d ever met – very stoic, very shy, and very focused on academics.
He has done many things to come out of his shell to interact with other students. He has also developed a strong sense of self and creativity, but he has never lost sight of his curiosity and love of learning.
Shriya A. (South Plainfield).jpg?width=248&height=302&name=Shriya-SPL-Student-of-the-Month-June%20(1).jpg)
Nominated by Coach Evan
Shriya has shown great improvement over the last few classes. She has been more focused and consistent with her efforts, both in class and at home—completing homework more regularly, asking thoughtful questions, and putting in noticeable effort. She has also been very cooperative and self-motivated in class. It’s great to see this level of focus and initiative from a student without needing additional prompting.
Khushi J. (East Brunswick)
Nominated by Coach Angela
Khushi is an incredibly helpful student who goes above and beyond in and out of class. When she isn’t dedicating herself to her studies, she is volunteering in the center. She also assists in extra-curricular activities for Genie, such as the NJSLA prep session and Kid’s Night.
Elijah D. Hillsborough
Nominated by Coach Evan
Elijah has improved greatly in math. After our recent conference for the week of the 12th, for class on the 15th, mom showed me his recent math exam, he secured an A grade! Feedback from the teacher has been positive, and mom mentioned to me that his skills in math have improved since coming to Genie academy. Elijah has been putting in more effort the last two sessions, and for such a young age in 1st grade, has started to show major strides in math.
Advika P. Online Student
Nominated by Coach Sahar
I am nominating Advika for Student of the Month because she consistently demonstrates responsibility, independence, and dedication to her learning. She is always on time, completes her homework accurately and on schedule, and works patiently and independently—even when I am busy helping other students. Advika uses the abacus confidently and never needs reminders, showing initiative and focus in every session. She is a truly outstanding student and very deserving of this recognition.
A Big Congratulations to All Our Students of the Month!
Thank you for showing us what it means to be focused, kind, and committed. We’re proud of everything you’ve accomplished and excited to watch you continue to grow!
