Argenine's parents Rod & Gina came to Genie Academy because she was weak in Math. The improvements they saw in their daughter went beyond just her math skills.

Increased Confidence

As she spent more time in the program, they noticed that she started to gain confidence in her math skills. This increased in her confidence and made a big difference in her progress in both Genie Academy and in school. When she took the NJASK exam, she said that the math portion was the easiest. "We were really glad to see that Math comes easily to her now," said her father, Rod. "Genie Academy has done really wonders in improving in Argenine's skills in more than just the math."

Trains them to work hard

"The students don't just magically gain the skills they need to be proficient in math. We liked that the students were given the chance to develop their skills. The teachers train her brain intensely and it makes her work very hard to come up with the answers to each problem quickly and accurately. Honestly, that was one of the best parts of the program: the intense training and practice that our daughter had to do outside of the classroom. It's really important for her to be able to understand those concepts because she was developing skills that she would need to use for the rest of her life. The skills she gained at Genie Academy are not temporary ones. We want her to apply those skills to all areas of her life for as long as possible."

Argenine added "I really think that this program is good for anyone who is struggling in math. I know that when I first went here, I had a lot of problems understanding math. Even here, I struggled a lot in the beginning, but eventually I got to a point where I understood the material and that made me really happy."
