Celebrating Our Students of the Month!

At Genie Academy, we believe in recognizing students who embody excellence—not just academically, but in character, attitude, and leadership. This month, we’re incredibly proud to highlight five outstanding students who are shining examples of what it means to be part of our Genie family. Their hard work, positivity, and commitment to growth inspire everyone around them.

Nominated by Coach Heidi Maanya brings an energy to the classroom that’s both uplifting and purposeful. She approaches every lesson with enthusiasm and comes to class fully prepared, homework in hand and ready to help her peers. A true team player, Maanya enhances every group she’s in. Her eagerness to understand her material, along with her consistent kindness, makes her an incredible asset to the Genie community.

Tyler L. (South Brunswick) Tyler-Student-of-the-month-SB-May

Nominated by Coach Paola In just a few short months, Tyler has completed the entire 3rd grade common core curriculum—an impressive feat fueled by daily dedication. He consistently meets classroom expectations, supports his peers (especially the younger students), and strives to go above and beyond in everything he does. Tyler has grown not only academically, but as a role model and leader in the classroom.

Nominated by Coach Kira Neal is a quiet leader who lets his actions speak volumes. As one of the older students in his group, he naturally steps into the role of mentor, modeling focus, kindness, and initiative. Whether he’s clarifying a task, welcoming a new student, or speaking up for someone else, Neal reflects the very best of Genie Academy’s values. We’re so lucky to have him setting the tone for others.

Nominated by Coach Mark Krish has been part of Genie Academy for nearly three years, and his dedication hasn’t wavered. He consistently completes his homework and classwork, showing perseverance and commitment to his learning. Krish is a steady, hardworking presence in our classroom—a student we can always count on.

Rianshi B. (East Brunswick)Rianshi-Student-of-the-month-EB-May 2

Nominated by Coach Takuma Rianshi is a model student in every sense. She always completes her assignments and maintains exemplary behavior. What makes her stand out even more is her willingness to go the extra mile—she recently taught a younger student the basics of the abacus on her own initiative! Her leadership and compassion truly set her apart.
