Quality and Caliber of Staff

Huntington requires tutors to hold four-year degrees and either state or Huntington certification. That is a credible baseline.

Huntington starts with a Comprehensive Academic Evaluation to identify where your child is struggling and builds a personalized learning plan from there. They typically recommend at least two sessions per week. That evaluation process is solid. But the instruction itself is a tutor and a student in a room. That is the format. Every session.

At some locations, a 3-to-1 option exists, but the rate is the same as 1-on-1. There is no discount for sharing the tutor’s attention. The East Brunswick location does not offer group instruction at all.

At Genie Academy, your child walks into a real classroom. Six students maximum. One dedicated Coach. A fixed start and stop time. Structured lessons tailored to each student’s level. Our curriculum is written by the Coaches who teach it every day. Completely aligned with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards. We teach children how to arrive at the answer. The only things they memorize are the Times Tables and basic formulae. They never memorize an operation.
