Why It’s Harder for Service Families
Your schedule isn’t built around homework time. Twelve-hour shifts, overnight rotations and deployments mean the evening help other kids get doesn’t always happen at yours. That isn’t a parenting problem. It’s the job.
Math and reading build on themselves. When a child misses a key concept, everything built on top of it gets harder, and that’s hard to catch from a fire station, a patrol car or a base.
