Quality and Caliber of Staff

AoPS Academy instructors are selected for their mathematical expertise. The company was founded by former math Olympians, and their curriculum is designed and taught by people with deep competition math backgrounds. Many instructors have degrees from top universities and personal experience with national and international math competitions. That is a legitimate credential for what AoPS is trying to do. If your child wants to compete in AMC or MATHCOUNTS, these instructors know the terrain.

Structure of Instruction

AoPS Academy operates a classroom model with classes that meet once per week for 36 weeks during the academic year. Genie Academy's philosophy starts from a deeper place. We believe that anyone can learn anything. The first pillar is Identity Before Mastery . Before a child can master a subject, they need to believe they are the kind of person who can.
