3rd Grade Test – for students applying to 4th grade. 4th Grade Test – for students applying to 5th grade.

The Middle Level SSAT is built for students ready to take the next step, preparing to apply to grades 6 through 8.

Students currently in grades 5–7 applying to grades 6–8 at private or independent schools.

The Upper Level SSAT is for students aiming to attend competitive high schools — the most advanced version of the test.

Students currently in grades 8–11 applying to grades 9–12.
