Summer Camp 2026: Crafts, Code, and Curiosity in Full Swing

Genie Academy’s Summer Camp 2026 is off to an energetic start, with campers across all seven of our New Jersey centers — East Brunswick, Hillsborough, Marlboro, Plainsboro, South Brunswick, South Plainfield, and Woodbridge — spending their days coding, writing, crafting, and solving puzzles together. Staff have been sharing highlights all summer, and the photos tell the story of a group of curious kids trying something new every day.

Coding has quickly become a favorite part of the schedule. Campers log into their own Scratch accounts to build animations and games from the ground up, cheering each other on as their projects come to life on screen. Coaches have praised the group’s enthusiasm, calling them the “coders of the future” as they debug and build their way through each lesson.

Away from the keyboard, camp has been just as busy. A classroom-wide mystery challenge had teams comparing notes, sketching clues, and working together to crack the case, while writing time gave campers a chance to put their own thoughts on paper and share them with the group. One trio summed up the spirit of the exercise perfectly, holding up their pages with a proud declaration: “My voice matters!”

Craft time has brought some of the most memorable moments of the summer so far. Campers folded their first paper cranes during an origami lesson, and a pizza-making project turned into an instant camp favorite, with one camper proudly displaying his paper-plate creation topped with colorful pepperoni and peppers.

With coding projects underway, mysteries solved, and plenty of crafts drying on the tables, Genie Academy’s Summer Camp 2026 is in full swing — and there’s still time for your child to be part of it. New campers are welcome to jump into the coding, writing, and hands-on fun in the weeks ahead, and every week brings a fresh lineup of projects and activities.
