Reading Log Challenge Winner
This year at Genie Academy we challenged our students to read as many books as they could from February to the end of April. We were proud to see so many students engage and try their very hardest to read as many books as possible. After counting up all the books, one student read the most at 92 (verified) books.

Recap of Abacus Adventure: East Brunswick
The beads were flying at our Abacus Adventure here at Genie Academy!
From Speed Bead Relay and Abacus vs. Regular core math to Number Bingo and Multiplication Race, students had a blast — and one thing that stood out was that kids who had been practicing abacus were calculating at lightning speed, showing just how powerful this skill becomes with training. Every student brought their best, and watching the growth in real time was incredible.
Whether your child is just starting out or already flying through problems, there’s always a next level waiting for them here.
Summer Camp 2026: Registration Open
July 6 – August 31. All Genie Academy locations. Ages 6 and up.
- Half-day (9 AM – 1 PM) or Full-day (9 AM – 3:30 PM)
- 4-week or 8-week bundles
- Math, Reading, Writing, Coding, and fun workshops
New: Saturday Book Club at Plainsboro
Every other Saturday. 1 PM – 2 PM. Free. The next session is June 13th.
- Grades 3–4: The Kane Chronicles: The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan. Students must finish chapters 1–6 before June 13th.
- Grades 5–8: The Misfits: A Royal Conundrum by Lisa Yee. Students must finish the first 14 chapters before June 13th.
It’s never too late to join — as long as students bring their own books and have read the chapters needed before the session.
Writing Workshop: Marlboro Genie Academy
Saturday, June 13th · 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
This month, join us for an opportunity for students to explore fantasy writing, build imaginative worlds, and craft their own magical stories alongside fellow writers.
Spirit Week: All Centers!
Monday, June 22nd – Saturday, June 27th
We’re having our annual Spirit Week here at Genie Academy from Monday, June 22nd through Saturday, June 27th! Here’s the breakdown of each day’s theme:
- Monday: Mix-match clothing — come to class with mismatched socks, shoes, and clothing.
- Tuesday: Hat Day — wear your favorite hat.
- Wednesday: Dress as your favorite character from a book, show, or movie.
- Thursday: Senior Citizen Day — dress up like a senior citizen.
- Friday: PJ Day — wear your favorite (appropriate) PJs.
- Saturday: Each center wears its assigned color:
- Plainsboro: Pink
- South Brunswick: Light Blue
- East Brunswick: Orange
- Hillsborough: Green
- Marlboro: Red
- Woodbridge: Purple
- South Plainfield: Yellow
- Online: Black
